Tequila: Aguila Real Reposado
Escudo Aguila Real tequilas source their agave from a single estate and cook the pinas in traditional brick ovens for a full 3 days and the distillation is done in batch method from copper pot stills. The reposado expression is aged for 8 months in American oak; in a move unusual in the tequila world, they use new oak (some would say «virgin oak») as opposed to ex-bourbon barrels that are used by the great majority of the industry.
