Tequila: Desmadre Unaged Blanco
DesMaDre is a new project, first released in 2016. At a recent trade tasting, we were impressed with its clean, true taste and its smooth finish. At 40% alcohol, it doesn’t attack the tongue, and allows a subtle hint of pear to emerge. A clean, and correct tequila, with character, but not enough to mess up cocktails. Food pairings? The producer suggests drinking with ceviche, chilled shellfish, flaky white fish with lemon butter and steamed veggies over mashed potatoes. Why not?
